Mostly Martha(2001)



Mostly Martha is a German romantic comedy movie. Martha Klein is a chef at Lido, a gourmet restaurant in Hamburg, Germany. She had difficulty relating to the world other than through food. Her single minded obsession with her culinary craft, It might bring to the customers feel unhappy and dissatisfaction of her service. The restaurant owner and Martha's friend had required her to see a therapist to work out her poor interpersonal skills. During therapy sessions, she can't taste any of food, and she felt stress and disappointed.

At the same time, Martha's sister was killed in an accident when she was on her way to visit Martha. Martha's sister was left an 8 years old daughter who called Lina to Martha. Martha's life soon completely changes and not only she must adjust herself to new parental role, but she must help Lina deal with her grief over the loss of her mother. Martha must now look after her niece, who is understandably depressed, withdrawn, and refuses to eat. The girl's father has been out of the picture for years living somewhere in Italy.


Martha gets unexpected help from Mario, Martha's new sous chef, who is not only a whiz on the chopping board but knows a lot of magic tricks and jokes to keep Lina's spirits afloat. Just as Martha starts to grow attached to the girl, however, the possibility of Lina returning to the custody of her father arises. The problem is that Mario is highly skilled and appears to Martha to be edging her out, setting up an opportunity for rivalry to erupt.



The film develops from this point, focusing on the attempts to locate Lina's father and the affect that Mario has on all around him. Food is a part of people's emotional.  When you feel happy , you might satisfied for your food. When you feel unhappy, you might don't have mood to enjoy the food. The food's taste and appearance are quite important to peoples and food also can be found your true love in your life.
